The “Mongolian Book Corner” was launched at the San Francisco Public Library on November 8, 2025, an initiative organized by the Consulate General of Mongolia. At the event, Consul General B. Munkhbaatar respectfully handed over more than 300 books in Mongolian and English to Library Director Michael Lambert. These books—donated by Mongolian residents of the Bay Area and other U.S. states—cover topics such as Mongolian history, literature, culture, and tourism.

In honor of the 101st anniversary of the Proclamation of the Mongolian Republic and the adoption of the first Constitution, the library also opened a “Mongolian Book Exhibition” on November 24, 2025. Once cataloging is completed, the “Mongolian Book Corner” is planned to officially open to the public starting in 2026. This special section will serve as an important bridge for introducing Mongolian culture and history to a wider audience.
