CONSUL GENERAL B. MUNKHBAATAR MET WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF THE “TANG” CENTER

On November 12, 2025, Consul General B. Munkhbaatar visited the “Tang” Center for Silk Road Studies under the Institute of East Asian Studies at the University of California, Berkeley, and met with the Center’s Director, archaeologist Sanjyot Mehendale, and Director of Development and Public Affairs Karen L. Clancy.

During the meeting, the sides discussed in detail the teacher exchange program that had been discussed on September 8 of this year, with plans to implement it in 2026. They exchanged views on the program’s structure, organization, cultural events, and arrangements for the teachers who will travel to the United States. The parties also discussed connecting Berkeley students with the Tang Center, organizing Mongolian language instruction for interested learners, and exploring opportunities to establish a future student exchange program through the Center.

Both sides expressed their interest in further expanding academic and cultural cooperation.
