The Kennecott mine, with a 120-year history, along with the Oyu Tolgoi mine, received the "Responsible Copper Producer" award established by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in 2020.

More than 30 young Mongolian experts from Oyu Tolgoi work at Rio Tinto's Kennecott copper mine in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.

The Consulate General of Mongolia's representatives met with these young people, listened to their opinions, and provided consular services. Consul General B. Munkhbaatar congratulated the young people who are moving from Oyu Tolgoi Mine, the world's leading copper and gold mine, to Kennecott Mine with their knowledge and skills. He emphasized that the experience gained here will have an important impact on Mongolia's future development.

He also provided information on consulate activities and voting in the next parliamentary elections. Furthermore, he underscored the importance of community collaboration and encouraged their involvement with the Mongolian Association of Utah in the future.
