Consul General of Mongolia in San Francisco Soyolmaa Jambaldorj met with Anita Huang, Chief of Staff at the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, to exchange views on opportunities to strengthen business and economic ties between Mongolia and the San Francisco Bay Area.

The Consul General emphasized that California, and in particular the San Francisco Bay Area, is a leading global center for technology, venture capital, renewable energy, education, tourism, and startups, and expressed her interest in connecting Mongolian companies, professionals, and entrepreneurs more closely with the region’s business and innovation networks.

Anita Huang explained how the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce supports and advocates for entrepreneurs in the city. The Consul General proposed expanding opportunities for Mongolian small and medium-sized businesses operating in San Francisco to connect with Chamber member companies, customers, distributors, investors, and professional service providers, and to participate in networking events, training, and business meetings.

The parties agreed to increase practical cooperation by organizing joint ventures, innovation forums, roundtables, etc., connecting companies and investors in the fields of mining technology, critical minerals, renewable energy, green energy, cashmere, tourism, and digital services, and introducing Mongolian startups to Bay Area investors.

They also discussed organizing joint events with the Mongolian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Mongolian Business Council within the framework of San Francisco International Week, and implementing visits by representatives of the Mongolian government and private sectors.
