Consul General B. Munkhbaatar met with Julie Widenholm, Director of the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive, to exchange views on bilateral cooperation.

Also in attendance at the meeting were Elaine Yao, Senior Curator of the museum; Susan Oxtoby, Curator of Film Collections; Sanjyot Mehendale, Director of the Tang Center for Silk Road Studies at the University of California, Berkeley; Karen Clancy, Head of Partnerships at the Tang Center; Laura Young, a representative of the University of California, Berkeley Foundation; Mongolia specialist Brian Baumann; and senior art historian Patricia Berger.

During the meeting, the parties held in-depth discussions on expanding future cooperation, including organizing exhibitions at the museum featuring works by Mongolian artists. Particularly in contemporary art, collaborating on documentary film preservation and research, exchanging information on implementing programs with the Headlands Center for the Arts to support emerging artists, and organizing academic conferences.
