Official meeting with Alameda Mayor Marilyn Ezzy Ashcraft

Today (2026.01.05), Consul General B. Munkhbaatar met with Alameda Mayor Marilyn Ashcraft to exchange views on relations and cooperation. Representing the community, Ts. Batsoyombo, President of the Mongolians of the Bay Area Association, and T. Saran, a student and native resident of Alameda, also attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Consul General B. Munkhbaatar expressed his gratitude to Mayor Ashcraft for her consistent support of the livelihoods, as well as the cultural and artistic activities, of Mongolian citizens residing in the city. It was agreed that the City of Alameda would provide support in addressing venue and space arrangements for upcoming celebrations this year, such as Tsagaan Sar and Naadam. The parties also agreed to continue exploring ways to encourage Mongolian residents of Alameda to take a more active role in their city’s activities and to provide mutual support and cooperation going forward.
